You heard the rumors about Nokia releasing their first Android phones, so did we. One will start to wonder why Nokia, telecom giants, would abandon their OS and move over to Android Operating system.
There is no doubt that Android has becomes popular that in the last two years about 80% of smartphone users now use the Android Operating System such that Microsoft, which acquired Nokia recently, could not stop but have a taste of the Operating System.
The Phones were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress yesterday with Nokia CEO Elop announcing that the phones still retains some of Nokia's flavor.
The Nokia X-series are built on the Android Operating System with version Version 4.2 Jellybean. Features such as playstore are not included in these phones as they still maintain Microsoft Apps such as Bing, Here Maps.
The Nokia X-series should be no doubt a product to test Nokia users taste of Android OS. Nokia will no doubt push their production and services to its limit if this turns out to be a success.
