A group of passionate programmers have released the android version of the Blackberry Messenger on Android versions lower than the 4.0+.
Recently, popular Canadian smartphone brand Blackberry, confirmed that BBM for Android-powered handsets running the OS version 2.3 Gingerbread will be rolled out in February. The messaging service was earlier only available for devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher.
If you cannot wait any longer here are steps you can take to enjoy BBM on your android device.
First, have Titanium Backup on your phone. If you do not have you can download right from playstore via https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en
Next, download the following files below:

Follow these steps carefully.


  1. Install BBMgbarmv6.apk but do not launch it.
  1. Extract both download files inside the titanium backup archive
  1. Open titanium backup and restore BBM data only
  1. You can now run BBM and enjoy.
